I love it when she comes over to me with a book in hand and says "read please." Such a great habit to start early. Sounds like Blake is off to an incredible start!!Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11492653844259834476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8779241084915059888.post-80134200217757399342011-03-04T12:42:25.104-05:002011-03-04T12:42:25.104-05:00I think it's so awesome that he's reading ...I think it's so awesome that he's reading at such an advanced level - but not surprised at all! :) Lily loves to read and be read to. She's not reading independently (she does recite and makes up stories to match the pictures) - but she's getting closer and closer to sounding out words. She can sound out words and then try to spell them them though - like one day, she said, "Poop. Starts with P. o-o-p." :)Beehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08373525523643074207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8779241084915059888.post-63446772109707766792011-03-03T23:51:23.216-05:002011-03-03T23:51:23.216-05:00True True!! Jacob has a new library book every 2 days and a daily reading assignment from school every day. Plus you can't forget book at bed time.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8779241084915059888.post-35425097561240849712011-03-03T10:39:43.444-05:002011-03-03T10:39:43.444-05:00I love this. I was always an avid reader growing up too and I love passing it along to him.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00860206491925165997noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8779241084915059888.post-32584655567369587982011-03-03T08:33:19.689-05:002011-03-03T08:33:19.689-05:00So great! What an amazing gift to give a child.

Eliza inserts words she thinks make sense and doesn't sound out even though she often could sound it out if she tried. I can't believe how many words she is recognizing now by site- so exciting!Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16291042482677932193noreply@blogger.com
