One of those moments

Have you ever had one of those moments where you realize... hey I'm a parent now??

Richard and I had it the same weekend over the same thought. Our fridge is covered with Blake's art and a magnetic Fridge Farm.

I looked at the fridge while getting out a sippy cup and said... you know you are a parent when the fridge is covered with kids stuff and there are sippy cups and bottles of breast milk inside!

So have you had one of those moments lately? What was it??

  1. I realize it every Friday and Saturday night when I am so glad to see 9:30pm and my bed!

But for real, I know what you mean... I had one of those moments the other day. Of course now I can't remember what it was (another 'I'm a parent moment' - forgetfull)!!! Avery did bring me something last night that he was playing with and broke...he wanted me to fix it and then he was happy and ran off with it..it was sweet!

  2. I have them daily...when I look in the rear view and see them both back there...it's really amazing and I have to pinch myself sometimes.

  4. My closet pre-kids was full of my clothes and shoes. Post-kids it is full of toys, crayons, kid clothes, etc.

    Funny how life changes, huh?

  5. Rich and I get that feeling most of the time. Sometimes when we are just sitting watching tv relaxing and Sonia is playing we look at each other and say, can you believe that we have children!!! I usually ask Rich that because he is 9 years older than me and I say, did you ever think you would have a little girl with a little boy on the way?????

  7. I just had one of those last night over something I have to laugh at. Jillian hadn't pooped in 2 1/2 days and my mother-in-law told me she finally had gone. I was excited knowing she would now be less fussy again. It occurred to me in that moment "I must be a mom to be excited about poop!" (sorry for the yuckiness! but you're a mom, you get it. lol)

  8. I'm a mom? haha sometimes I forget myself. Doesn't always seem real- and then I have to stuff a bunch of cloth diapers and i say, "oh yes! I am a mommy."
