Are you ready for some football?

It's that time of year again... football season. Richard and I have seasons tickets to UCF's football games. Richard went to UCF. We have a small group who go to all the games together. We were joking that this is the first time in 4 years that I can actually drink while tailgating. Seems like the rest of the time I was either: trying to get pregnant, pregnant or nursing. This is the first time in a while that I'll actually go to most if not all the games and go to a majority of the tailgating festivities too.

It is really great that my parents can come over and watch the boys for us. It gives the boys time with them, and lets Richard and I enjoy the game without the worry about the boys. Some of our friends bring their kiddos with them, but that's just not what we want to do. All I can imagine is I would spend the game walking up and down the stairs with Blake or dealing with one or the other screaming cause they are hot and tired... yeah not thank you!

Are you football fans? Do you watch college and/or pros?

(Professionally,... Richard is a Dolphin's fan. I like to watch Pro football, but don't really care who's playing.... if I had to pick I guess I'm still a Patriots fan at heart)

  2. We love football. College teams we love UNC & Michigan. Pro teams hubs used to like Redskins, but now since he lives in Detroit...he has to root for the worst team in football, the Lions. Gotta support your team though.
Cracking up because as I type my hubs just cheered because Navy is about to tie Ohio State...and here in Michigan Ohio State is a bad word. LOL

  3. My hubby is a big Penn State fan and a big Steelers fans. He would go to all the games if he could, but he pretty much has to settle for watching on tv. He usually gets to one Penn State game a year, but that is about it. It is about a 3 hour drive for him to go to a game. Though I know lots of people who do that for all the home games- but we don't. At least not yet.

  5. That's great that you guys can get to the games WITHOUT the kids! So much more relaxing.

My hubby is a HUGE 49ers fan so of course the rest of the family is too! The boys are too young to watch yet but I know that will be their "bonding" time in the future. Right now my in-laws take the 2 oldest on Sundays so that hubby can watch the games in peace. I watch our one year old as I'm not as much as a huge fan as him but I do manage to catch some games.

  6. We are not big football fans around my house... actually we are not really sports fans at all! Of course that might change since we have two boys.

  7. Yay! I love football season. It seems like every Sunday somebody is over and I'm always cooking some kind of Sunday Funday snacks. We also have a football pool so for those who have a competitve spirit (like me) the day is all that much more fun. Enjoy your days out with Richard and great decision on asking the grandparents so you can have some gorwn up time! Enjoy!

  8. Mike and I are UCF Alumni too. We marched in the band and do ALumni band every homecoming. We love it! I want to do a few games this year without Ryan as well. It's too exhausting with him and like you said, I would spend most of my time climbing stairs or listening to him melt down...NO FUN. We'll probably bring him to homecoming, but that's it.

  9. My hubs likes the Eagles but I am not a sports fan. I will let him put the gamer on- but usually we keep the sounds off because the announcers annoy me. Tailgating I could get into! Enjoy having some beverages this year!!
