Let the Countdown Begin!

Here we are at the last day of November. It has sure been a busy month here. It seems like there is so much that takes place between Halloween and December 1st around here. This weekend we decked the halls for the holidays. The boys are SOOOOO excited this year. I mean mega excited. I'm really glad that this is our at home year for Christmas.

Every day it seems like there is some new little thing to do to get ready for the holiday. I still have a lot of shopping to do, then there's baking, cooking, wrapping, Christmas card making (should get moving on that one), visiting the big man, going to parades and all that jazz! Oh and Richard is going away for 10 days in the middle of the month. Oh joy!

Tomorrow is the first day of all the count downs. The boys have already been exploring our magnet countdown.

Anyone who knows me would say this was the perfect countdown for my kitchen.

Yesterday I wrapped 24 Christmas stories that are now under the tree. Each night after bedtime we will unwrap and read a Christmas story.

Today I hung their Advent Calendars on their bedroom doors. I know Blake will love doing this each morning.

What fun things are you doing to count down to the big day??

(yes, I know I need to update my blog layout for the holidays... hmmm when will I have time for that?)

  1. My boys are excited for Christmas this year too! My 2 oldest are finally at the age where they can understand Santa and toys and giving! I'm going to surprise them with their own Advent Calendar tomorrow! I can't wait to see the look on their faces.
