Not Me Monday (week 2)

I soooo love Not Me Monday. I am very happy that MckMomma at my charming kids started this! What is better than a place to say... yep I'm human and here laugh at with me while I relieve "those moments" from last week.

-I so did not dust my end table with a sock I found on the floor. Nope... my tables aren't dusty and there never would be clothing sitting on the floor at my house.

-I didn't eat frosting out of the container after I finished frosting the brownies on Thursday.

-I did not decide to keep some of the chocolate that I bought to put into my Grandfather's birthday gift. (I can honestly say that I have only opened one bar and did split it with my husband.... that is sort of shocking to me)

-I would never leave my son's toys all over the floor all week instead of cleaning them up nightly.

-I didn't ignore the fact that my oldest son was awake in order to finish making my new blog topper.

I did not get excited last Monday to see how many people were logging on to see my blog. And I did not continually check BlogPatrol to see how many people had hit my site. Nope, I wouldn't piggyback on the popularity of MckMomma's blog to up my readership (even if it was only for one day)

  3. Why wouldn't you use the sock to dust the table? Isn't that what it was left there to do??? Have a great week!

  4. I feel you on the toys. Sometimes it feels like a loosing battle to clean them up when you know they will be located in the same spot the next day!

  5. At least the sock wasn't still on your foot! *wink*

I never buy chocolate for others...it's just plain wrong. My 6-year-old quotes me to strangers all the time: "My mom says that chocolate is the only thing worth hiding from your hubby."

Love to see who's on my blog, too. Even though I blog completely for selfish reasons - just want a journal with pictures.

Socks make great dusters! We use them around here all the time ;)!!

  12. I seriously think we're the same person! I think I did everything you did not do this week!

Oh...and I used to teach first grade, but never sent home a recipe for play-dough....and mental note: If I ever teach again and need play-dough, I'll ask for the store-bought kind. ha!

  15. Love your blog, thanks for stopping by to say hi.

I have to say, I already learned something useful from your blog. I have photoshop and have not learned much about it, or even used it much. Now I am going to go in and try to figure somethings out. Thanks for the free site info.

  16. I NEVER pretend that I don't hear my kids awake in their cribs, just so I can finish what I am doing, either. What kinda mama would do that : )

  17. Too funny! I ate some frosting today actually lol. I did talk with the Dr about tubes but he said they like to wait because its common at age 2-3 that they grow out of it. But if they continue to get worse I will def need to see a specialist and get a second opinion.

  19. Wait your not supposed to leave the kids toys out all week instead of putting them away. They're just going to pull them out again anyway.

BTW I love the honesty of this! I think too many people try to hide the realness of life. I say embrace it and find comfort in others who do the same as you! Thanks!
