yawnnnn

Colby has been sleeping from 8pm to 6am or later. But, not the last two nights. Monday night he was still awake at 8:45 and then was fussing at 12:40am. I went to check on him (after Abby woke me up) and he had resettled himself... yes I was happy about this fact. But, it still meant I didn't sleep all the way through the night.

Last night he fell asleep before 8pm, but woke up at 2:30am... and was not a happy camper at that time. I had to nurse him, change his diaper and get him back to sleep. Then he began fussing again at 5:10am. That time I just readjusted him on his positioner, gave him his pacifier and he fell back to sleep. But that meant I slept from 11:30pm (Richard and I were up late setting up my new laptop) woke up around 2:30... went back to bed around 3:15.... probably fell asleep around 3:40 and then was woken up again around 5am. I didn't even try to go back to sleep at that time.

I instead brushed my teeth, did crunches and booted up my new laptop. And, here I sit awake with everyone else asleep in the house. Hopefully both boys nap at the same time today so I can chill out (and take my shower)

It's what I get for mentioning more than once that Colby is now sleeping through the night... don't you hate when you say something and then the opposite happens!

  4. Yea, what's up with kids and sleep lately. Jillian's morning wake up time keeps getting earlier. It was 7 then 6:30, 6:00, 5:30 and this morning it was 5! I don't do 5! I'm the bad mom who made her cry for 10 min. to put herself back to sleep. Good luck getting Colby to do better. It's really hard to get, and keep, them on a good sleep schedule!

  6. I know exactly what you mean - I cursed myself with my kid talking about how EASY he was as far as sleeping went. He would go to bed, sleep through the night, and get up happy at around 8:00 am! Yeah, well ... not so much after that. Ah, well. At least he's cute, right? :-)
