Well here we are in 2009... so I decided to have a quick look back on 2008
January: I started my blog. A journey I entered with a bit of trepidation... I doubted anyone would get anything out of it... I didn't realize that it was me that would get the most out of it. Read my first post if you want
February: Richard and I went away for an overnight to Universal Studios. This was our Christmas gift to each other and the last time we have been away from the kids (other than being in the hospital to have Colby)
March: March brought about a challenge... Richard went mountain biking and broke his collarbone... no let me rephrase that he shattered his collarbone. He had to have surgery and therefore was pretty much out of commission for a week or two and couldn't help with Blake for over a month... 16 month old child + very pregnant + out of commission husband = long month!
April: In April we transitioned Blake into his toddler bed. (seems like a lot longer ago than that) At first we weren't sure he was ever going to sleep IN the bed, but he proved us wrong. He now loves his bed, but still wants to get into the crib with Colby from time to time.
May: May is crazy busy birthday month... but it was my 35th (eek did I just admit that?) birthday. We didn't do very much for my birthday because well... I was super pregnant and tired. Oh well
June: Colby was born! I became a Mommy of 2 under 2... need I say more?
July: Richard and I had our 4th wedding anniversary (which we pretty much didn't celebrate for the first time, but we were a bit busy), Colby turned 1 month on the 4th of July and Richard got a new truck.
August: Colby was moved to his own room. So Richard and I had our bedroom back and both boys slept in their own rooms!
September: Colby rolled over for the first time. I always think of this as one of those big milestones in a little guys life!
October: Blake and Colby got to go to their first wedding as my brother and now sister-in-law were married in October
November: Blake turned 2, Richard turned 32 and we traveled with Colby for the first time
December: Colby's first Christmas... our first Christmas at home (no traveling for us this year)
Thanks for traveling down memory lane with me... here's to another great year!
