The big cup battle

Colby is off of bottles already, but now the struggle is what cup will he use?? We went through this same battle with Blake. The will drink water out of any cup you hand them... but put milk in the same cup and NOOOOOOPPPPE!

There is ONE style cup that Colby will drink milk out of... same kind as Blake. This cup is hard to find and is usally about $7 a cup. At least, we had 3 left from Blake.

I'll keep trying to convince Colby that he can drink milk out of other cups. I think Blake was about 18 months when we finally convinced him.

  1. Good for you for being able to do that so quickly. We just got N off his bottle. He would drink juice from a cup not milk. Now we are bottle free too.
We use Gerber and Playtex onces. He doesn't really prefer one over the other.
    Good luck.

  2. What kind of cup is the one that he likes? Just wondering because Emily seems to be pickier with stuff like this than Tate was.

  3. Sippy cups sure can be expensive. I tried many varieties and ended up loving the re-usable ones from Wal Mart. They come in a pack of 4 I think In blues, yellows and oranges. Most basic I have seen and SO much easier to clean. And you don't have to worry about loosing the spill proof plastic thingy that goes inside many kinds.

  4. Hey what kind of cups does he like? Wyatt was super picky too so we have a bunch of sippies he would never use. If they're what he likes, I'll send them to you.

  5. What cup is it that he prefers? Haven't switched Allie yet..she'll play around with a cup with water some during the day but she's still strictly on the bottle with formula right now.

  6. Wow, congrats! I have yet to convince Leala that milk is good for her... She will not drink milk whatsoever.. She's breastfed, but we're trying to wean. She loves water and has barely (like a few days ago) begun to drink a little bit of juice... I'm having a hard time of finding something for her to drink in place of my milk... grrr... It's frustrating.. I'm very eager to wean. She's 15.5 months now. Any tips?

  11. I didn't think Ryan would EVER decide on a sippy cup that he liked. So far he'll use the Gerber soft spouts and the Avent soft spouts. He decided he likes the Born Free cups too. It took FOREVER, but we made it.

  12. You know I kind of think Jillian is doing the same thing. At first I thought maybe she was just losing an interest in milk but the other day she didn't feel good so I gave her a bottle just to get fluid in her. She drank it like crazy. hmmmm now I think she may be playing me. Silly girl!
