Colby turned 21 months today. Yes that means in a mere 3 months he will be 2. Can you believe it? Although the other day the doctor asked if Colby was two and a half.
In the last few weeks he has been talking a lot more. It's hard to believe how much he knows already. He doesn't speak clearly, but he talks a lot clearer than Blake did at this age. We are hoping this means that Colby will not have speech issues also, or at least not as severe.
One thing that sort of blows my mind is how much Colby knows. I'm not just talking things like car, dog, cat, and animal noises (although he does know those). I'm not talking about pointing at things in a book (a thing he isn't crazy about doing, but he can). Colby knows most of his capital and lowercase letters, he recognizes some of his numbers, knows his shapes and most of the colors. He is obsessed with letters we can't walk by any letters without him telling me what the letters are over and over. You will often hear him counting items.
Colby is learning to play on the computer and loves to play letter games. Colby loves trains, coloring and keeping up with Blake. We went to the playground yesterday and Colby was climbing UP the slide. There are very few things that he has tried and not succeeded at doing.
I realize that I am blessed with two boys who are very bright, athletic and have great personalities. I am great-full that they are happy little guys who love to play, learn, read and explore. What more can I ask for? (Ok I wish that Blake was potty trained, but that will come ... lol)
