Emotions of Me

I saw this post over on Sara's blog and decided to grab the concept for my post today too.

When I first read it I thought, oh that's simple. What makes me happy? What makes me sad? What do I love? Then I went about my day doing laundry, helping Colby, cleaning the house, you know typical daily stuff. As I was doing it I was thinking... what does make me happy and sad? Happy was easy to think about. Happy is an easy emotion for me. But sad, that was a whole lot harder. I guess I always think of sad as a big emotion. I could tell you what makes me disappointed, frustrated, annoyed, but sad? Sad is for big things. To me sad and angry are big emotions it takes a lot to get me there. I always tell people, you've never seen me angry and you really don't want to. Sad is the same way. I can only think of a few times in my life that I was really truly sad. I don't know, maybe I over think things, but that's just the way it is.

So I'm changing my post to What makes me happy? What frustrates me? What do I love? And you'll just have to deal with it... ok?

What makes me happy?
- A good night sleep
- A healthy family
- Hearing my boys laugh
- Watching my sons learn
- Snuggling on the couch with my husband
- When Richard comes home
- Baking
- Exercise
- family time
- holidays
- a good book

What frustrates me?
- Short notice
- Annoying people
- Forgetting something
- Disrespect
- Being ignored
- whining
- feeling sick
- sick children
- bedtime antics
- that my boy drive each other crazy

What do I love?
- Richard
- Blake
- Colby
- Abby
- time with family
- time with friends
- chocolate
- feeling healthy
- being a part of my son's lives
- watching my boys learn and grow
- seeing my husband's smile
- that my sons are best friends

I could go on and on with each list. But, I think I've touched the major things. So what do you love? What makes you happy? What makes you sad, ummm frustrated?

  3. A lot of your frustrations are mine as well. Let me add people who drive slowly in the left lane of the highway!

  4. Love these lists! Our lists would be very similar. To my happy one, I would add Lululemon (surprise, surprise) and to my frustrated one, I would add bad drivers!!
