Swim Coach Thank You

Every season I have the boys give their coaches a thank you gift at the end of the season. Most of their coaches are volunteers so I feel they deserve a bit of thank you.

Their swimming coaches are paid employees at the local Y, but I still feel like they deserve a thanks from us. This year both boys have struggled at one time or another with even wanting to be in the water. Their coaches have helped them overcome these fears and concerns and moved on to strengthen their swimming skills.

I was a bit surprised when I searched for suggestions for swim coach thank yous that there were few to none.... so I decided on my own creation.

I picked up beach towels for the 3 coaches and the life guard. Then I'm going to attach this card to it. I left the bottom open for the boys to sign it.

Our weekend

We had a fun and busy weekend. We headed out to the east coast of FL for a bit of fun in the sun. There was a hot air balloon festival and we decided it would be fun for the boys to see.

Friday we headed to the beach and then over to check out the other stuff at the festival grounds:

Saturday we headed back to the festival grounds for an air show and to play in the kids area:

Saturday night we got to watch the balloons go up and down taking people about 20 feet up and then right back down. We had talked about doing it, but it didn't seem to be worth the money for such a short trip, so we just watched

Not a baby anymore

I made these pages the other day. I framed the gown Richard wore during the boys delivery which has their footprints, and I also framed their crib tags, ankle bracelet, hat and t-shirt from the hospital. I wanted a set of pics to show their first year... so I made these. (yes I'll show pics of everything framed when they are up)

Tribute to Nana

My mother's mother passed away this weekend. I made these pages to use at her wake. I thought I'd post them on my blog as a tribute to her. May she rest in peace.

I haven't shown Colby's updated first year pictures in a while sooo...

I made new pages to go into the frames I have in my house. The first three are one set of frames, they are attached to each other kind of thing:

These two are another pair of frames that I have hanging
