Little things bug me

Ok I try not to let little things bug me, but for some reason this one is.... Noggin, Nickelodeon, Disney and PBS have all changed their schedules again. Yes... I understand that they switched things over the summer to give the old kids more time to watch their shows and have now altered the schedules again because school is back in session. But, it's hard when you limit the amount of tv and what a toddler can watch.

Another thing that urks me is Noggin's back to back episodes... there are only so many of each show out there do we really need to watch the samething twice??

So now I'm utlizing my DVR to tape shows for Blake to watch, at the times I let him watch them.

One new show that I think is great is Sid the Science Kid on PBS. If you haven't seen it, check it out. I can't wait until Saturday when the Imagination Movers new show starts too. We took Blake to see them at Disney Hollywood Studios last year.

  1. I know!! I share the frustration! Last night I turned the tv on a six expecting Max and Ruby (a favorite here) and it was Blues Clues (also a favorite, but she really wanted Max!). Luckily Dora was still on at seven at that is our absolute must b/c that starts our night time routine. I'm excited about Imagination Movers, too!

  4. I was wondering why Higglytown heroes was not on at 6:30 anymore. Now I have to watch those crazy colored doodle bops or whatever they are called. haha

  5. I know what you mean! We run into this issue with Ashlyn too- she gets hooked on a show and then they change the time it is on. I end up using the DVR as you said....seems like a lot of work just for my kids to watch tv ;)

  7. I also dislike the schedule changes; the back to back episodes are annoying, because it limits how often shows are on. Poor Little Bear is on at 3am and 3:30am. I hope my kids aren't up then *grin*. Imagination Movers should be good. We like their shorts, between shows.

  8. I get it! I get so mad at PBS. They show an episode and then 2 days later its the same episode at the same time! You can't tell me they don't have more to choose from!

My solution - Pay the Comcast-Gods(yuck) so I can have On Demand.

  9. I'm right there with you! The only show Gianna has any interest in is Teletubbies, and they aren't on the same time anymore... I didn't realize they changed the schedule... I guess I didn't think about it... I'll have to figure out when they will be on for her! Our DVR is in the bedroom, so that doesn't really work for us, but that is a great idea, so glad you have that option for Blake, I bet he is as well :)

  10. That drives me crazy too! I have to admit though that I didn't notice this time 'cause I'm boycotting shows especially on Disney and only watching DVD's. Madison is in the "I want that" stage with everything on tv. Much to my suprise she has informed me that she knows who Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers are from all of the commercials. So not ready for that!
