Hurricane season

One of the big down sides of living in Florida season is hurricanes. Our local news channel does weather on the 1's and from May- Nov they do Tropical updates on 21 and 51 past every hour. Right now if you turn on the news you are going to hear about TD Ana, Hurricane Bill and TS Claudette. I just hope we don't ever have a season like the one we did 5 years ago when we got SLAMMED ... can you say Charlie, Francine, Jeanne and Ivan?? That was the year we got married and let me tell you it was a fall to remember!

I hope all of my readers who are in hurricane areas have a calm and quiet hurricane season this year!

  1. scary!!

I live in Arkansas and we are in Tornado Alley. Scary too.

Bayley was a newborn and I had to get in the bathtub with her...and a VERY stinky diaper. So then when got out, I changed her and then 30 mins later, back in the bathtub...and ANOTHER stinky diaper!! Talk about scaring the poop outta her... hehe

  4. I DO NOT want another year like that. It is terrible!! Not looking forward to this season! One might be coming just in time for school to start. With Charley ... the kids were in school for 1 week and then off for 2! Crazy!

  5. I don't know where you live but I hope you're inland far enough that the brunt of it doesn't hit you (like on the coast or something) Good luck. Hurricanes and tornados worry me. I'm crossing my fingers for you.

  7. When my parents lived in FL my mom was always terrified of the hurricanes.

Hope it stays calm there for you all. My grandparents live on the coast of NC so they deal with the same thing you guys do during the season.
