Lazy Labor Day

We had a busy weekend this weekend. Saturday was our first UCF home football game. We won the game, but we certainly did not play well... oh well at least tailgating was fun. I made the Teriyaki steak to have for dinner... again very yummy!! We didn't get to bed until midnight... you know you are getting older when it is a major challenge to stay awake that late.

Sunday we ran a bunch or errands: BJ's for diapers and such, BRU to pick up the last two pieces to make Colby's bed convertible, and lunch. Then Richard's sister came over to spend some time with the boys, oh and us too. She got to participate in our Tasty Tuesday dish.

Today we seem to be having a lazy day. Richard and I are both needing a nap, but the boys don't want to play along with that thought... oh well. We are going to try to get in a bike ride and maybe some P90X, but my guess is it will be just an all around lazy day.

What are you doing this labor day??

  4. I cleaned and did the grocery shopping. I also need to get some school work done so I actually have lesson plans for next week. I'm sure I'll find some lazy time today as well!

  5. We went to a corn maze here in Calgary. The boys had fun running through the maze, petting the farm animals, and going down the slides!

  6. We took off to Cocoa Beach and had a blast. Ryan really enjoyed the sand & water. This was his 2nd beach trip. My sister was with us so it gave her some great bonding time with Ryan while Mike and I got to relax some on the beach. It was a great day!! Best of all is that Ryan hardly got a nap at all so early bedtime for him :-)

  7. I love your blog. I was also a kindergarten teacher before I becoming a stay at home mom, and it is harder than I thought as well. Especially after our second son made his surprise appearance. If you get a chance take a look and let me know what you think, I'm new at this blogging thing.
