Change is in the air, or at the house anyway

Today the painters are coming to begin the process of painting the outside of our house. We are changing the color so it should be exciting. Yesterday I decided to make another change... I hacked down all the hedges in front of our house. We will go back soon and pull out the stumps, but for now the hedges are GONE! This is something we've talked about doing and yesterday I said... why not now? Chopping them down will make it easier for the painters and will make it so you can see the new color.

I took a picture today of the house without the hedges. I'll have to go back in my photo history and find a picture of the house with the hedges and then I'll post pictures later in the week to show the progress.

I'm not looking forward to them covering all the windows with craft paper for the week, I know it's going to feel cave-like in the house. And, I'm going to have to get creative to entertain the boys. As I type this, Blake is riding his bike in the garage. I had my parents take Abby for the week since she won't be happy having people here and the fact that she won't be able to lay outside all week long. Oh well it will be worth it all in the long run.

Hope you have a fun and fantastic Monday! (I'm trying!)

  1. How exciting! I bet the hedges made a huge difference already. I hope the week goes smoothly and quickly! I don't think I could go that long with no sunshine in the house. In fact, I think I'll open windows today. :)
