new schedule

I posted last week that we were in need of a new schedule here. I talked about how I came to that conclusion in my last post.

I am beginning to implement the new schedule today. I wrote it up on Friday and posted it on the pantry door. I wanted it up and around for them to see and think about over the weekend before it set in place.

This is our new day:
Wake up
breakfast
Y, play date or school
lunch
play
workbooks
play
project (art, science, math, whatever)
play
books or puzzles
dinner
walk around the block
bath/shower
game
brush teeth
stories
bedtime

You will notice that that is a combination of specific activities with more open ended ones. You will also see that there is combination of activities with me and ones they can do on their own. Also active and quiet ones.
