On Facebook, I've been participating in posting one thing I'm thankful for each day from Nov 1st to Turkey Day. It's nice to slow down and think about all the things I'm thankful for each day. The first days are easy, the boys, Richard, the dogs, friends, family etc. But then you have to dig deep and really think. Today I posted that I'm thankful for the little things that make me smile. The sound of the boys laughing, watching tv with Richard, a smile, a text from a friend, hugs, that kind of thing. It's the time to think about the little moments in life that mean the most. If we didn't have these little moments of sunshine in our lives each day, what would our lives be like?
I encourage you to think about what you are thankful for? What makes you smile? What makes your day a bit more bearable? I know I'm enjoying this time of refection.
I'm thankful for laughter! I'm also thankful I can feel this little boy kicking in my belly! I'm following your facebook page now! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so grateful we're all healthy right now! I know just thinking about all I've been blessed with makes my trials seem so small.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I'm thankful Mark helped me clean the basement this weekend. I'm surprised he even remembered how to work the vacuum cleaner ;)
