Snickerdoodles
Mix:
1 c. soft shortening
1 ½ c. sugar
2 eggs
Add:
2 ¾ c. flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Chill dough 2 hours
Roll into balls then roll in mixture of 2 Tbsp sugar and 2 Tbsp cinnamon
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 min @ 350
(to bake bars put into a 9x13 pan and bake for 20 min -- I begin checking around 15 min for doneness)

ReplyDeleteI love these. I craved them when I was pregnant with my last. When I did not have any my husband use to stop at 7eleven and get them. Believe it or not, they were good.
