helllooooo

Did you think I ran away forever? I didn't ... I do have recipes to share, but didn't have a chance to get the pictures uploaded off my camera before Monday so I didn't get things posted for Tuesday.

Colby is sleeping through the night again so life in that aspect is better. Dixie was "fixed" on Friday so now she is a "conehead" dog and not happy about it. She goes back next Wed. to get the staples out and her lampshade off. Blake has another new teacher and we are trying to adjust to yet another change.

Valentine's Day was quiet here. Blake enjoyed exchanging gifts with his friends and we got a lot of compliments on his fish tank Valentine box. The boys and I made pink vanilla blossom cookies to bring to basketball practice as well as Valentines for their team mates. I was a total slacker and didn't get anything for the boys or Richard. Richard on the other hand got me a card from the boys and from him a card, a cute Valentine puppy and a heart candle. Yep made me feel like even more of a slacker. Oh well.

Well just wanted to check in and let you know I'm still around. If you have a blog, and I have you on my google reader, I'm still around reading them. Not sure I'll get ABC photo fun up this week cause again I'm a slacker and haven't taken any F pictures yet. But, I promise a yummy pretzel roll recipe on Tuesday.

changes are good

I've been thinking about my blog a lot lately. I often find myself posting more because I feel like I have to post rather than I want to post. I've decided that I will post Tasty Tuesday recipes as I have them. I will also continue doing ABC Photo fun, but I'm moving it to Friday.

That is all I will promise. Yep, I'll probably lose readers, not that I have many now anyway, but I'm going back to basics. I started blogging for two reasons, a place to vent about everyday life, and to share how teaching has influenced my parenting styles. Blogging is supposed to be fun, not work, not an expectation. So, that's what I'm making it.

I will still have my page on Facebook, so you can contact me there or e-mail me Lori.Mommyto2@gmail.com. I won't be around as much, but I'll still be around. (o;

long short week

We had a busy week. Both of the boy and I have been fighting head colds/ allergy issues. Never a good way to spend a week, but that's life. Richard starts a new job on Monday so we decided to plow through a bunch of things that we needed to get done this week. Things like taking both my car and his truck in for servicing and things like that. This meant that our days were jumbled up quite a bit, but hey it's all done.

I didn't get to the gym much this week, I notice I'm dragging a lot more, but at the same time it's not really easy to workout when you can't breathe. Yeah that's just a minor detail (o:

Then there was the whole thing of Richard and Blake having Monday off. Long weekends are always appreciated, but short weeks always give a feeling of being off. Blake doesn't have school today either. It is the end of the term here so the teachers have a work day and the kids get a day off. So Blake only went to school 3 days this week.

I've decided to stay home this morning instead of going to the gym. I'm letting Colby sleep in and we will watch a movie and then go to the grocery store. I decided this was better than exposing them to more germs when they are already fighting colds.

So here is the menu plan for the week:
--marinated skirt steak and potatoes
--breakfast for dinner (I'm making pancakes for the boys and maybe french toast for Richard and I for a change)
--out for pizza (a big treat for the boys that they keep asking for)
--tacos
--fend for yourself (basketball practice on Tues so I don't plan for that night)
--pasta
--?? will decide soon I guess

Hope you have a great weekend

new layout and question...

Ok you can see I made a new layout. No new information there. I've decided that although I really enjoyed doing project 365 it was a lot of work. I still have to post the last 2 weeks of 2011 still. Guess that means I need to get the pictures off my camera.

I was thinking that I do not want to take on project 366 next year, but I would still like to continue doing photographs on my blog. I mean who doesn't love a picture? I am debating on doing my own photo link up on my blog. I've been blogging for almost 4 years and never have done a link up before.

My thought was to do a weekly photo theme. I was thinking maybe of doing the alphabet and then colors? But, I don't want to even start if no one else wants to play. Soooo anyone interested? I put a poll up on my side bar so you can answer that way if you don't want to reply to the post.

Home again

The holidays this year were a whirlwind of fun. We started on Friday and ended on Monday. We celebrated Christmas with my family on Friday. The boys had a blast playing with my nephews. We opened gifts, feasted on pot roast and ice cream cake and had lots of fun. All four boys went outside to play for a while before dinner and enjoyed playing cars together after dinner.

Saturday we had a quiet day together just the four of us. We watched the Polar Express, tracking Santa on Norad, packed and enjoyed baby back ribs for dinner.

Sunday we ended up having to wake the boys up around 7:30am. Richard and I really enjoyed that gift from the boys. I had woken up around 6:30 expecting to have already heard from the boys so when I could go back to sleep I was very shocked. The boys loved exploring their gifts from Santa. Santa doesn't wrap presents so they could explore as soon as they walked into the living room. We only had to open stockings. The boys loved playing with the cash register, the new Thomas tracks, and Blake really loved the new basketball net and youth size ball. Guess Santa knows the boys well.

After we had lunch we packed into the truck and drove 3.5 hours down to Richard's parents. We then went to Richard's aunt's house for Christmas with his extended family.

On Monday we celebrated our fourth and final Christmas with Richard's immediate family. We also spent time at the playground, taking canoe rides in the lake. The dogs got to play in the lake too, Abby went fishing for rocks and Dixie proved that she could do the doggie paddle. The boys actually played in the pool for a bit too, though most of us felt it was a bit cool for that.

It is so nice to be back home. Yesterday I spent doing laundry and putting away all the stuff that we got over the last few days. The boys have tried out some of their new toys and we've played a few of the new games.

Today we will have a quiet day for a change. That is why I actually had time to post. Tonight I'll try to edit the many pictures from this weekend and maybe think about changing the layout of my blog.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. Enjoy these last few days of 2011... 2012 is just around the corner.

Pictures to see?

I bet you were expecting to see a post of pictures today. Yep, I know you thought, I'd have my project 365 pictues ready, or Blake's birthday party or something. But, sad to say I don't. We had a busy weekend.

Saturday we went out and ran a few errands before Blake's Nascar party. Then well there was the party set up, and the party and the the clean up. The kids all seemed to have a great time.

Sunday we got up and going again. This time we headed to Downtown Disney to the Festival of the Masters. This is an art festival that is held there every year. Some of the high lights are these really huge and very cool chalk drawings that are done on the sidewalks. They also have interactive stations for the kids. But the real reason we went this year was because of Lego. At the Lego store they were making a new Lego dinosaur named Brickly, and the kids got to make a lego "brick" to be included in Brickly. They had to make a four layer brick in either red, green or yellow. They then got a certificate of being a Lego master.

When we got home we quickly changed, packed the bikes, the bike trailer, the boys and Dixie and headed to a local bike trail. We met up with a co-worker of Richard's to go on a bike ride. This was the first time bringing Dixie with us. There were times when she was pulling Richard who was pulling the trailer, yep she is STRONG!

So needless to say I've yet to upload the pictures onto the computer to edit them so you will have to wait. (o:

weekend update!

Weekend update:
We had a fun and busy weekend. Blake had no school on Friday, teacher in service day. We went to the Y, a rare treat for him now, then to Publix. The boys had a blast playing out in the backyard together. I made a batch of muffins, and they went straight into the trash, yep screwed that recipe up major! Richard came home early and mowed the lawn while the boys played out front. Colby was trying again to ride his tricycle and finally mastered the whole pedaling thing!

Saturday was super crazy busy. We had a soccer game at 9:30am. It was a good game. We only had 5 players show up (we play 4 on 4) so everyone got a lot of playtime. Then we came home, showered, had lunch and were off again. This time we went to the farm. The boys had a blast seeing, touching and learning about the animals. We haven't been in almost 2 years so it was fun to see them experience it again, but older. Colby was right in there trying to touch all the animals. Blake did better than I expected, but he still isn't quite comfortable with going up and touching them. I have lots of pictures to edit and share.

Sunday we had a quiet day home. We filled the back of the pick up with Goodwill stuff. It always feels good to clean that stuff out of the house. Each of the boys had to pick 3 things out of their toy boxes that they don't use anymore. Some went to Goodwill and some of the others will go to the Y's childcare today.

Today is Monday and I'm up early because Richard is off on travel again. At least this time it's only for 2 days.

Hope you have a great weekend. This week's goals for me... get the boys Halloween costumes made! Guess I should buy candy too. Do you have your costumes ready? Candy purchased?

Year in Review

As the end of 2010 draws near I decided to take a look back. I have done a year in review the last two years. In 2009, I did a slide show featuring pictures of the boys together in each picture. In 2008 I wrote something that happened each month.

This year I decided to do a slide show for each of the boys. I love looking back and seeing how much they have changed. I knew that I'd see a big difference on Colby, but it was fascinating to see how much Blake has changed too. I hope you enjoy this little trip down memory lane with me. Let me know if you even decided to go back and watch last years or read about the year before.

Terrible twos + four year old = long day for Mommy

Anyone have the magic cure to deal with a two year old going through the terrible twos to the max? I can tell you one thing that is so NOT the solution... a four year old brother.

Colby is going through the phase where he wants something and when you give it to him it's wrong. The whole up is down, down is up phase. Well add in a brother who knows how to push your buttons... oh boy! One one hand Blake tries to make Colby feel better, and then the next moment he is doing everything to make him upset. I sometimes feel like it's all a plot to drive me crazy.

Both boys decided mid-week last week to start giving us a hard time at bedtime too. Colby has started screaming before going to bed. It's either that or he comes out of his room and won't go back in. Blake is playing the I need one more thing 100 times game. Yes, the fact that they aren't going to bed well effects their mood during the day. Don't you hate the cyclical nature of children. If they sleep well they have a good day, if they have a good day they sleep well... ummm how do you fix it when they have a bad day and a tough time falling asleep?

We go back to the doctors today for a follow up on Blake's pneumonia and Colby's ear infection. It is also Blake's 4 year old doctors appointment. Lets see what they have to say this time. Blake went to his ENT on Friday and they are concerned about his tonsils. Looks like if he has another bout of strep or tonsillitis soon we will be back to the ENT to talk about having the tonsils removed. Gesh is there an end to all this anytime soon?

Hope you had a good weekend and your kiddos are having a friendly week as you get ready for Thanksgiving (ok well not my Canadian readers, but you still need to have a good week)

Photobucket

Update and Thanksgiving projects

Oh the joys of the ups and downs. Well... I took the boys to the doctors on Monday. The strep has cleared up in both of them, buttttttt.... Colby now has an ear infection (yes that is an ear infection that occurred while ON antibiotics) and his wheezing warranted a dose of steroids daily. Blake now has pneumonia. Yeppers you read that right.

So needless to say we've been doing a lot of staying inside lately. This weekend felt like a week. On Sunday I said to Richard, can you believe it was only a week since Halloween... are you sure that wasn't like a month ago? We are all going a bit stir crazy. We were out from 9-1 on Monday, but that was at the doctors, getting chest x-rays, back to the doctors, then to the grocery store to fill 4 prescriptions. Today we only went out for about 45 minutes. We headed up to Blake's preschool so he could be in the class picture and the ran to get gas for my car.

Both boys slept through the night, for the most part. Colby is having a hard time falling asleep because of the wheezing and coughs and coughs. He also woke up really early this morning because of the same thing. Today he decided that for most of the day he needed to be held. Ummm, you weigh 28 lbs. 28 lb's of dead weight is heavy!

Oh well... we did get a few cute projects done the last few days so I thought I'd share them with you.
Photobucket
The body is their foot. I cut a bunch of feathers, beak, waddler, and eyes and let them glue as they wanted

Photobucket
Color the top of the paper bag (something they weren't really in the mood to do), stuff, tie off, cut the top into strips. the head is their foot, and again I cut eyes, a beak and a waddle

Photobucket
We painted paper, cut into leaf shapes, wrote on them what the boys are thankful for:

Blake was thankful for: playing at the playground, going to the Y, Mommy and Colby

Colby was thankful for: Blake, Daddy, Abby and our home

Hope you are thankful for a healthy family. Can you believe in 2 days Blake will be 4? Lets just hope he is well enough to go to school to celebrate!

On Thursday Blake was diagnosed with strep and being treated for wheezing again. As you can see from the picture, Colby decided to join in the fun. Saturday night he went to the after hours pediatrics clinic and guess what... he has strep too and fluid in his ears too.

Oh and Blake's birthday party was canceled or actually postponed until next weekend. Yes, if you follow my blog you may remember this happened to Colby's last birthday too.

So that brings on a lot of inactivity indoors.

Colby seems to be on the mend today, but Blake isn't so much, so back to the doctors we go tomorrow.

Colby decided to play with Mr. Potato Head and made a very interesting version

Don't you think?

I hope everyone has a better weekend than us! I just hope Blake is fully back to his normal self by Thursday so he can bring in a birthday treat to school to share with his friends.

Meet Buster and Monster

Well the boys and I had a fun day today. We went to the Y and they made pumpkin paintings there which they loved. Then we headed to the grocery store. After that we decided to make an art project out on the back porch. We decided to make monsters.

And Colby's monster "Monster"

As we were finishing up, Aunt Megan came over for a visit. I ran out to Target and Kohls to find Blake a sweatshirt since... well Colby will be wearing the sweatshirt Blake wore last year. The weather has been beautiful here the last few days. The mornings have been in the low 60s (hence the need for the sweatshirt) and the afternoons in the low 80s. We have had the house all open up and the boys can go in and out as they want. Ok that means more sand in the house, but it also means more freedom and fun for them. More space for everyone. I love days like this. And, we are expected to see more like this all week (o:

Hope you had a fun fall day today

home again

Just got home from a visit to the mouse! It always feels good to come home no matter how exciting the trip was. I can't wait until I can sleep in my own bed.

I have over 170 pictures to go through, and my sister-in-law was with us many days and took LOTS of pictures too. Guess what I'll be sharing the next few days. We have a busy weekend so it will probably be Sunday before I even get to look at the pictures.

I checked my google reader and found wayyyy too many posts to read, so I just clicked "mark all as read" and went on. If you had a post you'd really like me to see, send me the link (o:

Hope you had a fun week and have an enjoyable weekend.

I'll try to get through some of my pictures to post my D is for.... post on Sunday. If not, well pictures will come soon!

polls

I have two polls posted on my sidebar... chime in and share your opinion.

We have had a busy weekend already. Friday, Richard left work early to go to the dentist. After dinner we headed out to go get new UCF shirts. After heading out to the store we used to go to only to find that they had closed, oops!, we headed over to campus. The boys had a great time driving us crazy... ummm searching the entire bookstore for the right shirt. Then we walked around "Memory Mall" and people watched, or more specifically had people watch us. We walked the whole mall and the boys watched a group playing football and another group that were doing judo or some kind of self defense thing or something like that.

They were really tired when we got home since it ended up being later than we expected.

Saturday we woke up early and headed to the Y. This was the first chance Richard has had to go to the Y since we got our membership over a month ago... yeah life has been a bit busy. It felt good to work out with him again, and do some free weight work too. The boys enjoyed the smaller group of children in the playroom.

My parents came over to watch the boys so Richard and I could go to UCF's football game. It was actually nice out there tailgating as there was a bit of a breeze. We got new seats in the stadium this year and now sit on the shady side of the field which was soooo worth the fight to get.

Today we are going to hang out as a family and just do things around the house. Richard has tomorrow off too which is a major treat for all of us (o:

***********************************************************************************
Friay's goals
-- go to story time [check]
-- boy's laundry [check]
-- make chicken for dinner... I'm trying a new recipe that I concocted in my brain [check and it was yummy... this is the chicken choice in the poll]
-- ummm there's more but I can't think right now

I'm not making goals for today or tomorrow. I will post goals for Tuesday tomorrow night! Hope everyone enjoys their long weekend... I know we will

Up and down day here

Wow what a busy day and yet we didn't have much going on for most of the day... yes I know that is pretty much an oxymoron, but read on and you'll understand.

Blake was very excited to start his first day, he actually woke up BEFORE I crawled out of bed today (I didn't get up as early as I have been since I wasn't going to workout). He had a pretty good morning and was psyched to get into the car and head to his new school. When we brought him to the room where he goes first thing in the morning they were lined up to go to breakfast and he looks at me and says "I'm going to get in line, bye" That was the end of that.

Colby and I headed home and had breakfast and a few other things then I brought him to the gym for parent/child fitness (geared for children ages 1-4). He had a lot of fun. They had about 10 stations set up and did that for a while and then did parachute play. He enjoyed participating with the other children too.

It was nice to bring him home and put him down for a nap knowing that I didn't have to wake him up to go get Blake. We are going to work on pushing his nap to 11/11:30 now. We had him going down around 10:30 before because I'd have to wake him on Tues/Thurs to get Blake from the other day care. It also meant that I could sit down and relax for a bit too. Ok I should have been cleaning, but... I didn't want to!

We picked up Blake a bit after 3pm. He was doing a movement class when I got there and let him finish. He was excited to see us, but was even happier when I said he could finish. When they were done he wanted to get in line with his class and go back to class. He looked at Colby and said, "Get in line Colby, we have to go back to class". His teacher and the assistant director both commented to me about how well he assimilated into the new class. That made me very happy!

Tonight at bedtime was tough. The boys were both tired. We had had baths, cleaned and were getting ready for stories when Richard called to say goodnight (he does that whenever he can't be home for bedtime). The boys seemed to have a harder time with him not being here tonight. Blake told me he was going to wait up for Daddy to get home. Colby asked me "Daddy home night night?" Then when I checked on him later he said "I hear him, he here" "Who?" "Daddy, he here, I hear him!" Broke my heart. But at least he will be home soon enough, ok not soon enough, but soon.

**********************************************************************************
Today's goals:
-Bring Blake to his new day care for the first day! (check)
--remember to bring all the paperwork, change of clothes, checks etc with me to drop Blake off!! (check)
--As about the schedule of Blake's class so I can figure out what time to pick him up (check... sort of)
--vacuum the backseat of my car, I don't even want to think about what is back there (check)
--get to the gym? that is a big question mark as right now I'm wearing my knee brace and can barely bare weight on my right knee. But, I want to get back in for if anything to keep up the progress of helping Colby adjust to going. (well I got to the gym, but only so Colby could go to his class.. still no working out for me)
--remember to put the recycling out before bed (they get here EARLY on Wednesday mornings)... got to go put the trash out tonight as soon as Colby gives in and goes to sleep (oops... still need to do this, well have to wait for Colby to fall asleep before opening the garage, but I'll do it!)
--cook dinner... I didn't tonight since I didn't have anything planned so we had a "what do you want to eat" kind of night. (sort of.  I made frozen chicken tenders, homemade oven fries, and green beans)

Tomorrow's goals:
--groceries
--wash towels again since the boys keep spilling water everywhere so I have a huge pile of kitchen towels on the laundry room floor
--gym?  not holding my breath on this.  may have to give my knee a few more days... boo hiss!
--get outside with the boys
--mop the kitchen floor
--clean the bathrooms

Photo challenge

I haven't done one of these in a long time.... ok what did Colby get into??

Photobucket

I'll tell you tomorrow morning.

Today I did pretty good getting my goals done. I did get up and do P90X and then take the boys to the gym. They said Colby fussed a bit in the beginning, but settled right in after a bit. When I picked them up he was sitting at a table with some 8/9 year old girls coloring... yep he's a ladies man! Blake had a great time and asked to go back. The rest of the day we had a quiet day as both of them have runny noses again and after a busy weekend I figured they could use a bit of quiet.

I had to laugh at bathtime tonight. I recently bought Crayola Color Bath Dropz for the boys to use in the "big tub" aka the tub in the master bath. I let them each pick one tablet to add to the tub. They love trying to guess what color the water will turn. Well, today for the first time they both picked yellow tablets. I had the hardest time seeing them in the yellow water... all I could think was they were taking a bath in pee water. I should have taken a picture of the water to share, but I didn't. I haven't had an issue with any of the other colors, but this one really through me for a loop... oh well.

Goals for tomorrow:
--Bring Blake to his new day care for the first day!
--remember to bring all the paperwork, change of clothes, checks etc with me to drop Blake off!!
--As about the schedule of Blake's class so I can figure out what time to pick him up
--vacuum the backseat of my car, I don't even want to think about what is back there
--get to the gym? that is a big question mark as right now I'm wearing my knee brace and can barely bare weight on my right knee. But, I want to get back in for if anything to keep up the progress of helping Colby adjust to going.
--remember to put the recycling out before bed (they get here EARLY on Wednesday mornings)... got to go put the trash out tonight as soon as Colby gives in and goes to sleep
--cook dinner... I didn't tonight since I didn't have anything planned so we had a "what do you want to eat" kind of night.

Busy, Busy Busy... yet fun

Wow what a fun and busy weekend. It was just what the boys and I needed. Saturday we headed out early in the morning for my parents house. We don't get out there as often as you'd expect since they only live about 45 minutes away. My mom and I took the boys to the pool and they had a blast. It was fun to watch them gain confidence in the water.

In the afternoon, my nephew came over to hang out with the boys too. They had a blast playing together. I hadn't laughed so hard in a while. It is too funny watching a 3 year old learn to play hide-and-seek. He understands the counting concept and says "ready or not here I come", but beyond that... yeah it's a bit fuzzy. When he is counting he tries very hard to peek and watch where the people are hiding. When seeking he walks into the room and if the person isn't out in the open they aren't in the room. Colby wasn't actually playing, but often would help Blake seek (and actually did a better job at it). When Blake was hiding, as soon as you say something about looking for him, he would yell out his hiding place.

Both boys fell asleep on the way home and slept through the night (o:

Sunday we had a slowish morning as both boys were still a bit tired from the night before. We played a bit of Wii (another thing that brings chuckles for me) and chilled out together. In the late afternoon, Richard's sister came over for a visit. The boys had fun playing with Aunt Megan. They did a little bit of everything, including more hide-and-seek, Wii and lots of racing around the room. They both crashed again right after getting into bed. Let's just hope it means another full night of sleep.

Tomorrow's goals:
--get up early and do P90X's shoulders and arms
--boys' laundry
--go to the gym do some kind of cardio and let Colby have some time there with Blake before going on his own again on Tuesday
--Blake has speech
--write checks for Blake's new day care
--pack Blake's change of clothes for new day care

Not going to complain

I could whine about today, about the fact that I saw every hour from 11pm-3am and that at 4:45am Blake was in my bed because he peed his own and I was not in the mood to change his sheets and try to get him settled down again. I could share my whine about the meltdown that I had this morning, but I won't.

I will say that we went to story time and both boys did great and the rest of the day was lots of fun for all of us. Blake watched Monster Jam while Colby napped and I made beds. Then after Colby woke up we played the new Thomas game again. After that we decided to play a bit of Wii... this is always good for a few laughs. Then I decided that I would try to get a workout in (since I didn't get up at 5am... see above's non-whine if you wonder why). I put in P90X's plyometrics workout figuring that the boys would enjoy a workout that is mostly jumping. Colby pretty much ignored the whole thing, but played with his trains and his school bus in the living room. Blake did about 25% of it with me. I find it funny to watch his interpretation of what they are doing on the video.

I was just glad that things turned around and we ended up having a good day. Both boys have runny noses and those pesky coughs (you should have seen some of the looks I got at story time when Colby coughed once... you'd think he had vomited or something). They are in bed, yes notice that it is early than yesterday, and even bedtime went smoothly... shoot hope I don't jinx that and have them both up and screaming by the time I hit send.

All I have to say is I hope I get a better night sleep, cause I don't think I can handle many more days of crap sleeping.

*********************************************************************************

Today's goals: (all done... see above's ramble if you don't believe me)
--get up early again to do p90x
--story time at the library
--strip the beds and wash all the sheets and remake the beds
--paint with the boys ( I got frames to put their artwork in and want new paintings to put in them) We did paint, but I ended up putting pictures they colored with markers in the frames instead... lol

No goals for the weekend... I'll be back on Sunday for Monday's goals

Tune in soon for the new blog design. Think I'm going to go work on it as soon as both kiddos are sound asleep. (o:

Tired

tomorrow is the last day to vote on my poll about the blog background... voice your opinion soon!
*********************************************************************************

Ok, I'm tired tonight. Those two wear me out some days! We had a good day together, but tonight they just got each other so wound up running around that bedtime was full of silliness and goofy behavior. Yes, I know that this is normal from time to time, but when you are tired you don't really feel like having this behavior instead of getting jammies on, teeth brushed, and stories read. I knew it was coming when they decided to play run and crash as soon as I gave the 10 minute warning for clean-up time. They did do a good job cleaning at least. The problem is although you'd think that this running and craziness would wear them out, with Blake it is usually the opposite effect. Right now he is sitting on his bed playing with his door. He is in his bed at least, but I know it is going to be a LONGGGG settle down time. And that often means that Colby has a hard time settling down too. When they both struggle and I'm on my own it makes for a really long night.

I know some of you are thinking that I should just keep them up a bit later if they are wired, but I know my boys and it actually means I kept them up too late. When my boys get overtired it takes longer to settle. When they are overtired they are sillier. I intended to start stories at 6:30, but didn't even start cleaning until that time tonight. The last few nights I've put them to bed between 6:30 and 7:00 and it has been really good for both of them. They both sleep 11-12 hours or more at night and I don't mind having them get up at 6:30-7:00am.

Oh well... tomorrow back to getting them settled as soon as I see them getting tired. As for now... I'll play the get back in bed, ignore those in their rooms, check on Colby, etc.... games of a tough night time.

I did good with my goals today:

--get up early and do p90x.
Yep I did this today. It was actually funny cause Blake woke up early and decided to come workout with me. I had to laugh as he tried to do push-ups, use the bands for pull-ups and lift the weights.

--bring Blake to school for his last day at that center (remember to bring the cookies, week's tuition (that I forgot on Tuesday), change of clothes, cards... then remember to bring everything of his home again when I pick him up)
check! They really enjoyed the cookies and seemed sad to see him go, but I know it is for the best for him

--do something fun and alone with Colby, not sure what, but he needs some mommy time.
Colby and I went to Target after dropping off Blake and did a bit of shopping. We don't do this alone very often so it was nice to have his attention as we walked around the store. I also picked him up a Gordon train which he keeps asking about and got a new Thomas game for the two of them. Colby and I played this game 3 times before his nap and I can't tell you how many time with and without Blake since then. I guess this was a good purchase.

--clean all 3 bathrooms
check!

Tomorrows goals:
